Wayback Burgers is Kyle McMahon's Restaurant of the Week - because it's so good and because the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Milkshake brings all the people to the yard!
As I stepped into Wayback Burgers, the tantalizing aroma of sizzling beef and crispy fries enveloped me smelling device. The promise of a delightful meal hung in the air, and I couldn’t wait to embark on this culinary adventure for my first Restaurant of the Week. I visited the location in Milford, Delaware and it was clean, the staff was friendly and the smell of hot food was in the air.
My eyes zeroed in on the menu, and there it was—the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shake! Vanilla ice cream swirled with cinnamon toast crunch cereal and drizzled with caramel. Could a shake be both dessert and a drink in a single sip? I took the plunge, and oh, my taste buds danced! Creamy, sweet, and utterly indulgent—it was like a childhood memory wrapped in a frosty cup. IT IS SO GOOD!
And yes, since I'm an adult now, I can eat dessert first if I want - so I did, so don't @ me. But the main event was the delicious Double Bacon Burger I ordered. I opted for the classic way it comes: lettuce, raw onion, tomato, ketchup, and mustard. The first bite was a revelation! Juicy, fresh, and bursting with flavor, it was like a warm hug from a long-lost friend. The ingredients? All fresh, all real. Wayback Burgers doesn’t mess around—they cook everything right in front of you. No mystery freezer fare here!
And let’s talk about those fries. Hot, golden, and crispy—each one a little flavor bomb. I dipped them in ketchup, savoring the perfect balance of salt and crunch. These fries were no mere side dish; they were a supporting act on par with the main show.
With prices of certain fast food places having skyrocketed, why pay for tiny frozen meals when you can get fresh, hot patties with fresh ingredients for the same price? I certainly won't be anymore when Wayback Burgers exists and has numerous locations across Delaware (& beyond). There's locations in Millsboro, Greenwood, Smyrna, Middletown, Milford and a brand new location in Delmar. You can get directions to each of them and order online here.
So, my fellow food enthusiasts, if you crave fresh, affordable, and downright delicious meals, make your way to Wayback Burgers. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s an experience. And that's why it's Kyle McMahon's Restaurant of the Week. So as I left, belly full and heart content, I knew I’d be back. After all, life is too short to miss out on great food - especially that dang shake!
