Amazon's free two-day shipping for Prime members is being shortened to free one-day shipping thanks to $800 million in infrastructure updates and changes that are being rolled out this year. "We’re currently working on evolving our Prime shipping program, which has historically been a two-day program, to a one-day shipping program,” Amazon finance chief Brian Olsavsky said Thursday on a company earnings call. “We’ll be building most of this capacity through the year, in 2019. We expect to make steady progress quickly and through the year.” An official launch date for the shortened shipping policy has yet to be announced.
