On Saturday (June 27), country music icon Alan Jackson performed his final concert at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, marking the end of his illustrious career. The event, titled "Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale," featured a star-studded lineup of guest artists, including Luke Bryan, Eric Church, George Strait, and Carrie Underwood, among others.
The concert, which had long been sold out, was delayed due to weather conditions. Opry announcer Kelly Sutton advised attendees to "shelter in place for the next 30 minutes" as rain and lightning swept through the area. Despite the delay, the show went on, with Jackson and his guests delivering a memorable performance.
Jackson's setlist included many of his greatest hits, such as "It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere" and "Good Time." The format of the show allowed for duets with the guest artists, reminiscent of George Strait's farewell concert in 2014.
The Setlist:
- "Gone Country"
- "I Don't Even Know Your Name"
- "Livin' on Love"
- "Summertime Blues"
- "Midnight in Montgomery"
- "The Blues Man"
- "Who's Cheatin' Who"
- "Here in the Real World"
- "Wanted"
- "Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow"
- "Designated Drinker" (performed with George Strait)
- "Murder on Music Row" (performed with George Strait)
- "Little Bitty"
- "Country Boy"
- "Good Time"
- "Drive (For Daddy Gene)"
- "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)"
- "Don't Rock the Jukebox"
- "Remember When"
- "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere"
- "Chattahoochee"
- "Mercury Blues"
- "Where I Come From"
The event was also livestreamed on Lower Broadway, allowing fans who couldn't attend in person to experience the concert. An NBC TV special highlighting the concert will air later this year, with streaming available on Peacock the following day.
For each ticket sold, $1 was donated to the CMT Research Foundation, a cause close to Jackson's heart. The concert was a celebration of Jackson's more than three decades of hits and his significant contributions to the genre.
