Brantley Gilbert Reveals Powerful Stories Behind His Tattoos

Brantley Gilbert revealed some of his most meaningful tattoos and the stories behind them.

The singer-songwriter shared videos with Inked Magazine on Instagram on Thursday afternoon (December 5). Gilbert points out that he has “a lot of tattoos that relate to my faith,” and ink along one of his arms that symbolizes “the hell I went through and the hell I raised. …(and) the cycle of going through hell and getting better.”

Gilbert’s post arrives just a few months after he released his latest studio record, titled Tattoos. The 10-track record includes collaborations with Justin Moore, Ashley Cooke, Struggle Jennings and Demun Jones, and Gary LeVox, among other highlights. Gilbert recently announced the dates of his 2025 headlining tour with Black Stone CherryTravis DenningAustin Snell and Payton Smith on select dates. See the list of tour stops here.

“People get ‘em for a lot of reasons, but for most of us, tattoos talk about our victories and losses, our struggles and the whole nine,” Gilbert previously said via his record label. “I was one of those kids who had to learn the hard way. But if I would’ve listened to the advice of others, I don’t know I would have ended up where I am.”
