"Scrambled pancakes" are trending on TikTok. The process is the same, but you don't have to worry about cooking them exactly right. Is this genius or a true crime?
You pour the batter in the pan like normal. Then instead of flipping, you scramble them up like eggs, so you end up with a bunch of tiny pancake pieces. It almost looks like funnel cake.
Some woman posted a video on how to do it, and the idea went viral . . . partly because a lot of people didn't watch the whole thing.
It ends with her saying they did NOT taste good, so the whole thing was a joke. But others who've tried it claim they're delicious.
People online pointed out it's similar to an Austrian dish called kaiserschmarrn
Eggo weighed in and said "scrambling pancakes is wild." So the same woman did a follow-up video and made a scrambled Eggo waffle.
