January 6th is National Take Down the Christmas Tree Day! When is the best time to take down the tree? For lots of people, taking it down is personal preference – the day after Christmas? Sure Wait until New Year’s? Why not!? For some, the actual condition of the tree dictates when the tree will be taken down.

But some folks follow a more traditional path. The official holiday season ends on January 6th– the feast of the Epiphany (which follows the 12 days of Christmas, which officially begins on the evening of December 25th).

Still, no matter what day you decide to take the tree down, don’t think of it as a sad occasion. In honor of National Take Down the Christmas Tree Day, why not make it a fun event and have a de-clutter and de-tree party? Whip up a few tasty appetizers and one or two refreshing cocktails, some of your favorite people – and you’re good to go. Give the tree the old heave-ho…and start the year off right!

As for me, mine came down two days after Christmas! I was ready to de-clutter and start the new year in a fresh clean house :)
