Middletown Native Headed To The Big Game

A Middletown native is headed to Tampa this weekend for his first ever Super Bowl appearance. Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Goodwin is one of Tom Brady's top receivers and among the rare few that has caught on in the NFL out of the First State. While speaking with reporters, Goodwin said that he has been dreaming of playing in the Super Bowl since he was a little kid. He added that he wants his championship appearance to inspire other children in Delaware to push for their dreams. Goodwin went to Middletown High School, where he led the team to a pair of state titles. He also grabbed the Gatorade Player of the Year award in 2013. Goodwin went to Penn State and was drafted in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft to Tampa. Tune in as Goodwin, Brady and the Bucs take on the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday in a battle for the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
