Eric Church keeps churning out new releases and with his latest, “Doing Life With Me,” he talks about all the burdens his loved ones had to carry as he pursued country music stardom.
One of the lines in the songs speak to the sacrifice saying, “I don’t pray much anymore / for this old troubadour’s / happiness, wishes, wants and needs / end of my ropes, hopes and dreams / Spend my livin’ giving thanks / for the ships I never sank / every big, every little in the everyday things / the notes and the words and the songs I sing / to the ones doing life with me.”
Written by Eric, Casey Beathard, and Jeffrey Steele, “Doing Life With Me” is his sixth studio recording from, “Stick That in Your Country Song” which arrived in June. Earlier this month it scored a Grammy nomination for Best Country Solo Performance.
