Governor John Carney is imposing tougher COVID-19 restrictions beginning today as cases surge across the First State. They include a cap of ten people on indoor gatherings with no more than 50 allowed at outside gatherings. Restaurants can operate at no more than 30-percent occupancy for indoor dining and youth sports teams are banned from hosting out-of-state teams and traveling to other states for tournaments. All of the new restrictions go into effect today at 8 a.m.
Governor Carney and the Delaware Division of Public Health say a list of COVID-19 testing sites are coming this week. Officials say three testing sites will be open today in Dover and Wilmington. The first testing site will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Delaware Tech Terry Campus. The two remaining sites open today are located in Wilmington, with one site operating from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Congo Funeral Home Parking Lot and the other operating from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Frawley Stadium.
