LISTEN: Luke Combs Releases Studio Version of "Six Feet Apart"

Luke Combs just released a studio version of the song “Six Feet Apart,” a song he debuted on Instagram last month. The singer wrote the tune with Brent Cobb and Rob Snyder via Zoom, and when they connected it seemed obvious what they should write about.

“I think I just asked them out of the blue, 'Hey, do we write a song about this thing? Or is that too cheesy?' ” Luke tells “USA Today.” “They actually sent me an idea that they had, and the title was 'Six Feet Apart.' We were kind of on the same wavelength, without even talking to each other (about it).”

He adds, “The next day, it felt like it wrote itself, really.”Check out the song to the right.

  • ONE MORE THING!Luke held a special livestream performance Friday, which helped raise money for bartenders and waitstaff whose livelihood have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis. The livestream, supported by Miller Lite, featured a virtual tip bar for those workers, with Luke treating fans to such songs as “When It Rains It Pours,” “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” “Six Feet Apart,” “Hurricane” and “This One’s For You.”
