Eric Church Wrote and Recorded 28 Songs In 28 Days

Eric Church is not lazy. Earlier this year he challenged himself to write and record 28 songs in 28 days, and he did it. Why? He wanted to put himself in a position that he had never been in before.

That's what he told the"Tennessean". Quote, "What if we put a bunch of pressure on me as a writer and the players as players and we make this like they used to make rock 'n' roll records?"

The schedule was simple, and tight. He would wake-up, write, record, and repeat. He said, quote, "It was the most uncomfortable thing in the world, but it needed to be that way."

And don't expect to hear those songs trickling out here and there. He adds, quote, "I believe it needs to be an album, it needs to be listened to as an album.

"That's the way I listen, so that's what I'm gonna make whatever this next project turns out to be. It's gonna be conceived that way and made that way." As far as a release date, he said that's still "up in the air."
