Lyric Video: Ryan Hurd "Every Other Memory"

Ryan Hurd continues to share new music with fans. Last week, he debuted a cover of Taylor Swift’s “False God,” and this week he’s dropped a brand new song, “Every Other Memory," which features wife Maren Morris on background vocals.

"'Every Other Memory' just feels like such a nostalgic track," Ryan shares. "It's so cool because it feels like each line in the song is almost like an emoji. It's a feeling and it's a picture that you can just really grab onto.”

He adds, “The way the words came out, it just felt like each picture was really amazing."

Meanwhile, while Ryan can’t wait to get back on the road, he and Maren certainly are enjoying their time at home with new son Hayes. “We’re here in Nashville, taking care of our new baby and just enjoying the time we would have had off anyway,” he says of lockdown, noting, “we’re just really missing our friends, missing our families and really excited for the moment that we can get back out there and see all you, our fans."

Ryan shares with Entertainment Tonight the origin of baby Hayes' name. "We stayed up late one night a couple years ago and I think we had too many drinks," he shares. "Maren said, 'What would you name a boy if you had one?' and I was like, 'I always thought the name Hayes was cool' and she remembered it." As for Hayes' middle name, Andrew, Ryan explains, "[It's] my little brother's name that passed away a few years ago. So, that was a really cool way to honor him and my family."
