Stolen George White Lynching Memorial To Be Replaced

(Prices Corner, DE) -- A stolen historical marker will be replaced later this month. An unveiling ceremony to replace the missing George White lynching memorial is set to take place on October 20th in Prices Corner. The original, made in honor of black laborer George White who was lynched by a white mob in 1903, went missing from Greenbank Park and still has not been found. New security measures will also be added to the park. Crimestoppers is offering a two-thousand dollar reward for any information on the theft that leads to an arrest and conviction.
