Delaware Not Part Of Latest Purdue Pharma Settlement

(Undated) -- Delaware is not part of a settlement made with Oxycontin maker Purdue Pharma, involving about two-thousand of the nation's local governments. State Attorney General Kathy Jennings says the state has not agreed to the deal because they are committed to pursuing justice "on behalf of those harmed by the Sacklers' greed, callousness, and fraud." Jennings has filed two separate lawsuits against Big Pharma as well as one against Pharma owners, the Sackler family. Reports show that the company's deal includes 12-billion dollars paid out over time and removal of the Sackler family's control over the company. At least 20 states are reportedly agreeing to the settlement.
