Garth Brooks will soon add another award to his crowded trophy case, the inaugural George H.W. Bush Points of Light Award for Caring and Compassion.
Points of Light, a global nonprofit dedicated to accelerating people-powered change, created the award to honor outstanding individuals who advance solutions to the world’s toughest challenges and exemplify the extraordinary traits of its late founder and the 41st President of the United States, George H.W. Bush.
Singer, songwriter, Warner Bros. Records signee, and critical favorite Charlie Worsham is the newest member of iconic string band and Grand Ole Opry members Old Crow Medicine Show. The Mississippi native officially joined the band before they embarked on their current summer tour in late May. Though Worsham has also been touring as an opener for Old Crow and some though his appearances on stage with them was just a tour collaboration, Worsham is now officially listed as a member of the band, and appears in their latest promo photos.

Walking into the 2019 ACM Honors ceremony at the Ryman Auditorium on Wednesday night (Aug. 21),Miranda Lambert was already the most-awarded artist in the Academy of Country Music’s history. And walking out, she added a 33rd ACM Award to her cement her status. She was given the prestigious ACM Gene Weed Milestone award.

ALABAMA is postponing the remainder of its “50th Anniversary Tour” due to lead singer Randy Owen‘s ongoing complications with cluster migraines and vertigo. The group had hoped to continue the record-breaking 50-city tour, but doctors have advised Owen to take more time to fully recover.
