Carrie Underwood marked another milestone in her career on Tuesday (August 13), fulfilling a dream stretching back to her childhood.

During her Opry set, she invited ’90s country star Bryan White to perform with her. Both artists grew up in Oklahoma, and White served as a musical role model for Underwood — who revealed that she was once a member of the Bryan White Fan Club.

George Strait's multi-year run in Las Vegas will stretch into 2020. The Country Music Hall of Famer just announced two new shows at T-Mobile Arena.

Two new dates on Strait's Strait to Vegas concert series makes for six Las Vegas dates on his calendar currently. The new shows are scheduled for Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, 2020. Country group Gone West will open both 8PM shows. Pop star Colbie Caillat fronts Gone West.

Though Lil Nas X has broken chart records and become a streaming juggernaut with his breakout country rap hit “Old Town Road” with Billy Ray Cyrus, the song faces an uphill challenge to get a nomination for a CMA award.

Ballots have gone out for nominations for the Country Music Association Awards, but some voters are struggling to decide how to recognize the musical phenomenon of the year, which has become the longest running No. 1 song in the history of Billboard’s Hot 100.
