The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame announced its Class of 2019 Wednesday morning (Aug. 7).Dwight Yoakam, Larry Gatlin, Rivers Rutherford, Marcus Hummon, Sharon Vaughn and Kostas Lazarides will be formally inducted during the awards show on Oct. 14, to be held at Nashville’s Music City Center.

Brantley Gilbert's son, Barrett, isn't even two years old yet, but he's excited to become a big brother — as excited as he can be, anyway.

Gilbert and his wife, Amber,revealed in March that they are expecting Their second child and first girl this fall. The singer tells Taste of Country that Barrett sort of understands what it means for the family to bring a new baby home.

Singer-songwriter John Hiatt, whose songs have been recorded by a wide range of artists from Bonnie Raitt and Willie Nelson to Bob Dylan and Iggy Pop, will be honored next month by the performing-rights organization BMI with the presentation of its Troubadour Award.
