(Dover, DE) -- A bill that would end the shift of daylight saving time in Delaware is moving forward. The State Senate advanced the measure in a 17-to-4 vote on Wednesday. The bill's sponsor and Senate President Pro Tempore David McBride says they want elected officials in D.C. to know they are fed up with darkness before 6:00 p.m. and are sick of literally losing sleep. Officials want to move Delaware into the next time zone to the east, the Atlantic Standard Time Zone. In order to move forward, neighboring states like Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey must agree to make the change as well.
