(New Castle County, DE) -- Police are identifying the man arrested on Saturday after a New Castle County Police officer was stabbed. The incident happened after a man matching the description of 20-year-old Richard Brennan was spotted trespassing on several home properties. When an officer located Brennan and went after him on foot, a struggle ensued near interstate 95 off-ramp. Police say the officer received a minor stab wound to his leg. Brennan has been charged with possession of a deadly weapon, one felony for second-degree assault and one felony for resisting arrest.
