Topic highlights include Local Gang Violence & Activity, Vulnerability Risk Assessment, and Substance Abuse epidemic. Topics will be presented by Dawn Culp MSN RN, SANE-A, SANE-P, DV & Gang Consultant FNE Forensic Nurse Clinical Coordinator and Paul Thomas Clements, PhD, RN. This event is targeting anyone looking to become more aware of how to assess their surroundings and provide skills necessary to evaluate and de-escalate potential dangerous situations in any environment. As these situations can be high stress, several community vendors will be on site to discuss self care services available. Registration will take place from 4-5pm and the program starting promptly at 5pm. Light refreshments will be served and an opportunity for door prizes and Chinese auction items.
