Naloxone Distribution Clinic

In a continuing effort to prevent losing lives to overdoses, the Division of Public Health (DPH) will distribute free naloxone kits at three clinics in March.

The first naloxone distribution clinic will be Saturday, March 2 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church, located at 515 Harmony St. in New Castle, Delaware. It is being held at the same time as the atTAcK 5K Run sponsored by atTAcK addiction.

DPH expects to serve more than 500 people by distributing the free kits to drug users and their families and friends. Each kit contains two doses of naloxone. When administered, the naloxone can revive some overdose victims.

Other naloxone distribution clinics are planned for Kent and Sussex counties. Event information will be posted to the Help is Here Delaware website, www.helpisherede.com. Admission is free.
