This flu season in Delaware is remaining deadly. Health officials confirmed yesterday that two more people have died from the flu over the weekend, bringing the total number of deaths this season to five. As of last month, nearly 700 people in the state have the flu and more than 100 have been hospitalized. Health Officials believe the number of flu cases is likely higher. Doctors say the best way to avoid the virus is to get a flu shot. They're also advising people to get vaccinated early because it takes two weeks for the antibodies to kick in.
