(Dover, DE) -- A court in Delaware says the government can keep money seized in a drug bust, even though the suspect was found not guilty. A court in Dover ruled last week that Jeffrey Crippen, who was acquitted of drug charges, was not entitled to regain more than 13-thousand dollars in cash. The judge ruled that Crippen did not have documentation to prove he earned the money legitimately. He was acquitted of drug charges but found guilty of weapons violations and sentenced to ten years in prison.
