DPH Warns Of Salmonella

(Dover, DE)  --  The Delaware Division of Public Health is warning of a multi-state outbreak of salmonella infections linked to raw turkey products.  The CDC reports that 164 people were infected with the strain of Salmonella Reading in 35 states, including one in Delaware.  CDC officials say the outbreak strain was identified in raw turkey pet food, raw turkey products and live turkeys.  The CDC says people do not need to avoid eating properly cooked turkey this Thanksgiving.
