(Dagsboro, DE) -- Poultry producer Allen Harim is settling its wastewater violations with the state. DNREC announced Wednesday that the company will pay 300-thousand-dollars in fines and will have to cease all spray irrigation activities at its Dagsboro hatchery. It will also have to connect the hatchery to the Sussex County sewer system. The violations stemmed from reports that showed the facility had excessive nitrogen levels in its wastewater that was found to have affected area groundwater.
