Smyrna, DE) -- Jury selection is underway for the first of several trials connected to the deadly Vaughn prison riot. Delaware's Superior Court started weeding out potential jurors yesterday for the trial of four inmates charged with the murder of a correctional officer at the Smyrna correctional center in February of 2017. The trial is scheduled to begin on October 22nd. Eighteen inmates are facing charges for the incident and are being split into five trials that are expected to stretch into February.
