Aiden's Law Gets Ceremonial Signing

(Lewes, DE)  --  New protections are in place for babies born to mothers involved with drugs.  A ceremonial signing of Aiden's Law took place at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes yesterday.  Under the law, mothers who test positive for drugs or alcohol at birth are referred to child protective services and are required to develop a safety plan to care for their infants.  The law is named after Aiden Hundley, who was born addicted to drugs in 2015 and died at eight-months-old after suffering signs of abuse.
