NEWARK - A new report is saying the University of Delawaregenerates billions in economic impact and supports thousands of jobs, even outside of the campus.
UD commissioned the study, which measured the spending of students and alumni, the economic effects of innovation, start-ups and research and the dollars spent by visitors to the campus.
The report shows UD having a two-point-eight-billion-dollar impact on the economy.
It states it creates more 24-thousand jobs across the state, including just over 15-thousand on its main campus in Newark.
It also says it has a more than a four-billion-dollar impact and is responsible for over 33-thousand jobs in the northeast corridor.
