(New Castle, DE) -- Governor John Carney says three newly signed bills will help fight the opioid epidemic. One creates a statewide system of care for overdose patients. It is aimed at bettering the transition for individuals after an overdose from the emergency room to more comprehensive treatment. The other bills remove the insurance limits on physical therapy for patients with chronic pain and aim to identify and provide education to doctors and pharmacists with excessive opioid prescribing practices.
