Join Warriors Helping Warriors for the Hero Run 5 K from 1pm-3pm on October 14th at Glasgow Park in Newark.
Enjoy:
- Cinch bags filled with goodies to first 200 registered.
- Come dressed as your favorite hero- superhero, police, military, firefighters etc
- Water, snacks available after the run
- Food trucks on site for purchases
- DJ/Music
- Representatives from New Castle County Police Veteran’s Response Team, Hero Help, Heroin Alert, Community Services, Mounted Patrolwill have displays/info tables
All while supporting Warriors Helping Warriors and their mission...to enable veterans and their families to "Win the War at Home" so they can transition back to functioning families and back to productive members of society.
In order to achieve these goals, we provide emotional support counseling, family support network, home repairs, veteran’s benefit and healthcare assistance, and veteran/family bonding events.
