(Dover, DE) -- Several Delaware civics groups are calling for an investigation into the laws surrounding limited liability companies in the state. The News Journal reports that the Delaware Coalition for Open Government and several other organizations are asking Attorney General Matt Denn to appoint a special counsel to look at the Delaware Limited Liability Company Act. The groups say the act allows LLCs to serve as fronts for criminal activities including drug smuggling, sex trafficking and money laundering. The AG's office is reportedly reviewing the request.
