(Wilmington, DE) -- Delmarva Power customers can save some money on their bill by reducing their electricity use during several hours today. The power company is holding a Peak Savings Day between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Customers will get a bill credit of a-dollar-25 for every kilowatt-hour of reduced energy use below their average energy use. It comes as an increased demand for electricity is expected throughout the mid-Atlantic region today. The National Weather Service is forecasting temperatures in the low 90s for much of Delaware with a heat index around 100 in certain areas, including Dover.
