Bereaved Family Suing Over Alleged Straw Purchase

Wilmington, DE)  --  The family of a young woman who was shot to death in Wilmington nearly two years ago is suing the store where the murder weapon was bought.  The lawsuit was filed by the family of Keshall Anderson who was killed in a Wilmington drive-by shooting in 2016.  The complaint claims Cabela's Wilmington location was negligent in selling the .40 caliber to Brilena Hardwick, who then gave the gun to her boyfriend and convicted felon John Kuligowski.  That gun later ended up in the hands of two juveniles, who were charged in Anderson's death.  The lawsuit says Cabela's did not meet its obligations to determine if Hardwick was a straw purchaser.
