(Dover, DE) -- The legislative session is over after an overnight battle on raising the state's minimum wage. The stalemate ended around 8:00 yesterday morning as both sides approved bumping the minimum wage up to eight-75-an-hour in January and nine-25-an-hour in October 2019. However, it comes with a provision. Employers can pay workers under 18 and those over 18 on their first 90 days on the job, 50 cents below the minimum wage. The passage of a Bond Bill and Grant-In-Aid bill followed.
