Heat Advisory & Air Quality Alert Today

(Dover, DE)  --  Dangerously hot temperatures in Delaware are expected to stick around through the Fourth of July holiday.  The National Weather Service says heat index values could get up to 107 degrees today as temperatures climb into the upper 90s.  An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect in northern Delaware until 8 p.m.  Officials are warning that prolonged exposure to the heat may be life threatening to the elderly and those in poor health.  A Code Orange air quality alert is also in effect across the state.
