Some call Christmas the “most wonderful time of the year,” but the holidays have nothing on Girl Scout cookie season. Girl Scouts have been selling cookies to raise money and learn business skills since 1917 and now dedicated fans wait patiently for cookie season to roll around so they can stock up on their tasty treats for the year.
Girl Scouts have sold many different flavors of cookies over the 100+ years, and some have been more popular than others. So which is America’s favorite? It’s deeply personal for most Girl Scout cookie lovers, but according to the organization’s website, the best-selling Girl Scout cookie is the Thin Mint.
Thin Mints are so popular, you can find the flavor in other products, like Dunkin Donuts Thin Mint Iced Coffee and Thin Mint Yoplait yogurt. So they’re the best-seller, but the S’mores cookies that launched last year became the most popular Girl Scout to ever be released.
So if you’re lucky enough to see those Girl Scouts set up outside your grocery store, stock up while you can. Cookie season is usually January through April, so time is running out.
