The Hometown Heroes would like to invite the community to a Cancer Awareness Cook-Out on Saturday, October 28th from 1-4 pm at the Ellendale Firehouse.
This is a free event, however donations of food and paper products for this cook-out are greatly appreciated. We will have a speaker on hand to tell about their story of survive from this deadly disease that effects everyone.
Each year over 12.7 million people will be diagnosed with some form of cancer; ½, 7.6 million, will die from this disease. We encourage anyone who would like to share their story or a story of a loved one to do so.
This is NOT a fundraiser. This is a day to share and show love and support for all those who have been affected by some form of Cancer.
Please wear any ribbon you may have, and or bring a picture of your loved one who has had Cancer so that we may honor them on this day. If you want to donate food or paper product for this event, or would like to help raise awareness with your story, please e-mail us directly hometownheroes2017@gmail.com.
