Luke Bryan laughed it off when he fell backward on stage during a recent performance in Canada.

Videos circulating on social media — including those obtained and shared by TMZ — showed Bryan slip and fall hard on his back, apparently on a concertgoer’s cell phone on the stage, during the show. Bryan joked as he handed the phone back to the fan, “it’s OK. Hey, my lawyer will be calling,” and replayed a video recorded by another fan and said, “I need some viral. This is viral, alright? This is viral!”

“Ironically, last week, I was having back trouble to the point where I had to get a chiropractor to the room,” Bryan said while chatting with Entertainment Tonight’s Denny Directo about American Idol, noting that he often cycles when he’s in L.A. When he fell on stage, Bryan said he immediately thought, “all the work I did to get my back feeling better is out.” The country hitmaker also told Directo he “was kind of hamming that up,” referring to the phone. Bryan said he doubts he fell because of the phone, and believes “it was just slick” on stage.

Bryan kicked off his headlining “Mind Of A Country Boy Tour, which also includes, on select dates: Tenille Arts, Chayce Beckham, George Birge, King Calaway, Dillon Carmichael, Larry Fleet, HunterGirl, Ella Langley, Tracy Lawrence, Kameron Marlowe, Chase Matthew, Meghan Patrick, Lily Rose, Josh Ross, Alana Springsteen, Zach Top and DJ Rock.
