Wyoming United Methodist Church (WUMC), a local deaf friendly facility, will hold several activities in recognition of Deaf Awareness Month during September.
The church, located at 216 Wyoming Mill Road, will host a public, family-style DINGO and Pot Luck Supper event on Sunday, September 17th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in their Family Life Center.
This event is a partnership between the WUMC Deaf Ministry, WUMC ASL Class, WUMC Youth Ministry, and Deaf Outreach, Inc.
Attendees are asked to bring their own place settings and a dish, able to feed 8 or more, to share.
The church also sponsors a weekly, informal ASL class on Mondays from 6 - 7:30 pm for a nominal fee. Sunday morning services at the church are interpreted at 11:00 am.
