Delmarva Power says it is prepared for the possible impact of Hurricane Florence. The company says it has more than 250 internal line workers and overhead line contractors, 133 tree-trimming personnel and crews from its two sister companies on hand to assist in any restoration effort.
Delaware could see rain, flooding and high surf from the Category 4 storm that is expected to make landfall in the Carolinas by the end of the week.
People are being reminded to have flashlights, bottled water, non-perishable foods and an updated emergency supply kit.
