You've Heard of Going Postal, BUT Have You Heard of Going....DMV???

A Missouri woman is in jail after officials say she fired a handgun after becoming impatient with the line at a DMV office, according to reports.

Vanessa Richey, 34, allegedly was annoyed by the long line and was told by a license office employee she'd have to wait her turn, according to the Kansas City Star.

Platte County Prosecutor Eric Zahnd told the newspaper in a statement that Richey cursed at staff inside the office, then left, pulled out a handgun and fired a shot into the ground. The incident took place just before 11:30am Tuesday.

KSHB-TV in Missouri reports a retired police officer who was also at the DMV followed Richey outside. He and another man held Richey at gunpoint until police arrived, according to the station. She was arrested by the Parkville Police Department.
