A new study is ranking Delaware as the 30th healthiest state in the nation. The United Health Foundation released its annual America's Health Rankings report Thursday, which analyzes behaviors, the community and environment, clinical care and health outcomes of every state. The First State was ranked 30th due to its high prevalence of drug-related deaths and its low number of dentists. In 2017 and 2018, Delaware was ranked 30th and 31st, respectively. Vermont was named the healthiest state, while Mississippi was determined to be the least healthy state in the country.
