(Newport, DE) -- A manufacturing plant in Newport is being fined for air pollution. MEDAL Air Liquide is facing an 80-thousand dollar fine for allegedly dumping two tons of excess pollution in the air over the past two years. The company claims it didn't realize it was going over the required limit. The plant will have 30 days to pay the penalty and until November of this year to install a new control device.
