Company Pays Millions In Fraud Settlement

(Newark, DE) -- A company in Newark is paying millions in a fraud settlement. Software company E-M Photonics is agreeing to pay more than two million dollars to the government. Prosecutors say the company falsified documents for government contracts and grants over a five year span. Employees allegedly submitted inaccurate timesheets, invoices and public vouchers. Officials say the company also received federal funding for completed work that was already funded by another agency. Aside from the settlement, there is no word on if any criminal charges will be filed.
