(Smyrna, DE) -- Smyrna police are warning of a scam involving online dating sites and police impersonators. The department says over the past few weeks an unknown suspect or suspects have been posing as young women and been exchanging explicit photos with victims. The suspect then pretends to be a Smyrna police officer claiming to be investigating the victim for exchanging explicit photos with underage girls. The suspect then demands money, threatening arrest.
