Sugarland Announces “Bigger” New Album

Sugarland fans won’t have to wait much longer for new music from the duo. The pair announced that their new album, “Bigger,” is set to drop June 8th.

“I think there’s something with Sugarland that is a higher calling,” Jennifer Nettles tells “The Tennessean.” “What we’ve been writing for this new record, it is clear we had things inside of us that we felt the world needed to hear. I think translating that pain into hope is something that Sugarland does really well.”

The album contains all new songs the pair wrote when they decided to end their hiatus, with the exception of the tune “Love Me Like I’m Leaving,” which is from their back catalog and was written with frequent co-writer Tim Owens before the hiatus.

As for whether this reunion will last past this one album, that’s still up in the air. “What we have done for our fans, I hope, is show them they can trust there are times when we will come apart, and there are times when we will come back together,” Jennifer says. “I love that we have done exactly what we said we were going to do. We took time and … we came back.”
