(Milford, DE) -- A new federal grant, shared amongst several nonprofits in the state, is aiming to help senior citizens. The U-S Department of Health and Human Services is awarding 750-thousand dollars to a handful of local nonprofits to provide wellness checks and other medical services to homebound seniors. U-S Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons joined local lawmakers Friday to make the announcement. There is no word yet on when the services would begin.
