WATCH: Chris Young Emotional Video For “Drowning”

Chris Young has debuted an emotional video for his latest single, “Drowning.” The video, directed by Chris, was shot at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, during his first headlining show following the tragedy at the Route 91 Harvest Festival. During the performance Chris asked fans to hold up their phone lights to honor those who were lost.

The song was inspired by the loss of the Chris’ close friend,Adam Carnes,and the video opens with him holding up a picture of him. Then, throughout the clip, other folks hold up pictures of loved ones they too have lost.

"I've been so amazed at the reaction to this song," Chris shares. "I wrote it with two friends as a moment of healing and had no idea it would touch so many people before it was even chosen as a single." He adds, "The video, combining so many personal moments alongside a live performance, totally embodies that, and I can't wait for everyone to see it."
