Fifteen years ago, New Hampshire bartender Wendy Auger secured a vanity plate for her car that read, "PB4WEGO." But earlier this week, the state, which has since adopted stricter decency regulations for customized license plates, asked Auger to relinquish hers. She protested the order, arguing that it's a free-speech issue that also violates the Granite State's very motto, "Live free or die"--and Governor Chris Sununu agreed. On Wednesday, Sununu announced that Auger's plate "will not be recalled." According to Seacoast Online, Sununu bumped into a mutual friend he shared with Auger at a store, and decided to intervene after learning of her plight. "I'm stoked," said Auger in reaction to the news.
