(Dover, DE) -- A former Delaware lawmaker is facing charges for making contact with a woman he allegedly assaulted this month. Former state rep John Atkins was arrested by Lewes Police on harassment charges, just more than a week after he was arrested for a domestic dispute in which he allegedly tried to strangle his ex-girlfriend. Atkins was reportedly texting, calling and emailing the woman at her job. He turned himself in to police.
